Gwel y don is a recently renovated seafront cottage offering short and long stay vacations within the colourful Georgian town of Aberaeron.

The property offers open plan living; a large kitchen with dining area to enjoy cooking whilst socialising. An adjoining reception area that can be used for reading and relaxing, or space for the children to play. A step leads up to a cosy living room area housing 2 sofas and a wood burning stove. Downstairs there is a large shower room and upstairs a bathroom with a roll top bath enjoying the views of the distant sea.

There are 3 bedrooms, sleeping 6 people comfortably. To the front of the property has a king size bedroom with smart tv. The double room overlooks the rear of the property, so you can wake up with a view of the sea. There is also a single room that has the option to make into a cosy double or twin, ideal for children.

There is a stunning south facing porcelain courtyard to enjoy the sound of the rolling waves and smell of fresh sea air. During the summer months enjoy outdoor living with friends and family.

Set within the popular town of Aberaeron, there are a fantastic variety of restaurants, pubs and eateries to enjoy during your stay. The award winning Harbourmaster restaurant is a stone’s throw away and serves an eclectic menu including fresh seafood. Sunday roast is also highly recommended. Go for evening tapas and cocktails at the newly renovated Y Seler restaurant. If you fancy something slightly more relaxed then there is ‘The Hive’ restaurant overlooking the harbour. Aberaeron also has ice cream shops, souvenir shops, cafes, boutique clothing stores, art gallery, a small supermarket and pharmacy.

If you enjoy walking, from the doorstep you can join the coastal path to explore surrounding towns and admire the magnificent views. For children why not head over to ‘The Moody Calf’ soft play and cafe. A welcoming, clean and safe environment for all to enjoy something indoors if weather prevails. It is just a short drive to the sandy beaches of New Quay and Cei Bach for sunbathing, sandcastles and dolphin watching. Gwel y Don serves to be a luxury central home to enjoy all that this vibrant town offers - voted the best seaside town in Wales 2022.
