CARDIGAN BAY
Cardigan Bay is the largest bay on the Welsh coast, its wide sweep being made up of many smaller coves, sandy beaches and pretty coastal towns such as Cardigan, New Quay, Aberaeron and Aberystwyth. As you travel up the Ceredigion coast, the whole of Cardigan Bay extends before you, with views as far as Snowdonia and Bardsey Island.
SEE & VISIT
There are lots of wonderful places to see and visit in the area. These include the Aberystwyth Arts Centre, boat trips from New Quay, the National Trust Llanerchaeron Estate, Strata Florida Abbey, National Library of Wales, National Wool Museum, Cardigan Castle and more. You're sure to find something to suit your interests.
FOOD & DRINK
There are numerous different award winning restaurants, bars and cafes in the area; including Crwst and Pizza Tipi in Cardigan, The Blue Bell and The Pepper Pot in New Quay, Y Seler and Harbourmaster in Aberaeron, and the Michelin starred SY23 in Aberystwyth and Ynys Hir a few miles beyond. There's something for every palette!
WALKS & WILDLIFE
There is great variety of wonderful coastal and rural walks in the area. They include the section of the Wales coastal path from Cardigan in the South to Borth in the north. In land you will find the Cambrian Mountains with remote places such as Teifi Pools. Ceredigion also has much wildlife to offer; from red kites to bottle nosed dolphins, you won't be disappointed.
